LEXINGTON, Ky. - Freshman Andrew Harrison scored a season-high 26 points and No. 13 Kentucky used near-perfect free-throw shooting to pull away from Tennessee for a 74-66 victory Saturday.

The Wildcats (13-4, 3-1 SEC) made 23 of 24 from the line, including their first 17 before Aaron Harrison, Andrew’s twin, missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with 32 seconds remaining.

The Wildcats had entered the game making 66 percent of their free throws, 63 percent in SEC games.

Andrew Harrison made all 10 of his free-throw attempts along with a couple of three-pointers, and freshman Julius Randle was 5 of 5 from the free-throw line and 6 of 9 from the field for 18 points.

Kentucky overcame a ninepoint first-half deficit to beat the Volunteers (11-6, 2-2) in this season’s lone scheduled meeting between the schools. Trailing 18-9 with 12:16 left in the half, the Wildcats closed with a 25-14 run over the final 11:06 and led by as many as 11 points in the second half.

Kentucky was outrebounded 39-24 by the Volunteers, who made 16 of 23 from the free-throw line.

Aaron Harrison finished with 14 points, including two three-pointers to help the Wildcats finish 7 of 16 from behind the three-point line. He was 6 of 7 from the freethrow line.

Jarnell Stokes had 20 points and 15 rebounds for Tennessee, which lost to Kentucky for the 150th time in the series that dates to 1910.

Jordan McRae added 17 points and Jeronne Maymon had 12 for the Volunteers.

Texas A&M’s Jamal Jones led the Aggies with 24 points, but he was ejected from the game with 1:07 remaining in overtime after receiving two quick technical fouls. Davonte Fitzgerald added 20.

The Bulldogs shot 52.7 percent (29 of 55) from the field. Ware added a team high 10 rebounds.

Fitzgerald missed a long three-pointer at the buzzer that would have won it in regulation. Texas A&M lost for the first time in conference play.

MISSOURI 68, ALABAMA 47

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Jabari Brown tied a career high with 24 points and Johnathan Williams III grabbed 14 rebounds to help Missouri (14-3, 2-2 SEC) defeat Alabama (8-9, 2-2).

After shooting 52.6 percent in its 80-61 victory against Mississippi State on Wednesday, Alabama converted 29.2 percent of its shots from the field against Missouri and couldn’t pull closer than 13 points in the final 10 minutes.

Shannon Hale scored 12 points and Retin Obasohan added 11 points for the Crimson Tide, which is 0-7 away from home this season.

NO. 7 FLORIDA 68, AUBURN 61

AUBURN, Ala. - Casey Prather scored 21 points in his return from a knee injury and helped No. 7 Florida (15-2, 4-0 SEC) survive a scare from Auburn (8-7, 0-4).

Prather had 16 points in the first half after missing the past two games with a badly bruised right knee. He made 8 of 10 shots for the Gators, who have won nine consecutive games and eight in a row at Auburn.

Tahj Shamsid-Deen hit a jump shot with 1:59 left to cut Florida’s lead to 62-61, but Scottie Wilbekin answered with a fadeaway jumper. Wilbekin made 2 of 4 free throws over the final 48 seconds.

MISSISSIPPI 75, SOUTH CAROLINA 74

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Anthony Perez scored a career-high 22 points, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 2:02 remaining, as Mississippi (12-5, 3-1 SEC) erased a 12-point deficit and held on to defeat South Carolina (7-10, 0-4).

That’s when Henderson drove right of the lane for a basket and was fouled for a three-point play. Perez tied the game with two free throws on Ole Miss’ next possession. Perez followed a minute later with a three to put the Rebels ahead for good, 71-68.

South Carolina closed to 75-74 and had possession with 1.8 seconds left, but Sindarius Thornwell’s three-point heave was off the mark. Thornwell led the Gamecocks with 24 points.
