One Gator out, another questionable

FAYETTEVILLE - Florida has won six consecutive games, including games against Kansas and Memphis, but the No. 10 Gators are limping into Walton Arena for today’s match up with Arkansas.

Senior forward Casey Prather, averaging a team-high 17.0 points per game, won’t play today because of a bruised knee bone, Florida Coach Billy Donovan said. Senior point guard Scottie Wilbekin, averaging 12.3 points, has an ankle injury and is questionable.

“I would say he’ll probably give it some kind of try, but what we can get out of him, I really don’t know at this point in time,” Donovan said Friday. “Right now, I do not see Scottie starting in the game just because he hasn’t practiced in two days. He’s spent a lot of time just getting treatment and getting to a point where he can possibly play.”

Freshman guard Kasey Hill, averaging 7.3 points and 3.2 assists in 10 games, is expected to make his fifth start. He started four games when Wilbekin was suspended.

Sophomore forward Dorian Finney-Smith, a transfer from Virginia Tech who is averaging 9.9 points and 7.4 rebounds, likely will start in Prather’s place.
