4A-7 GIRLS

Jones helps CAC to fast start

Central Arkansas Christian’s girls took care of Pulaski Robinson quickly Friday night, beating the Lady Senators 55-31 in a 4A-7 Conference game on Mustang Mountain.

Senior Sydnie Jones led CAC with 26 points, 18 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 assists, with 11 of her points and eight of her rebounds coming in the first quarter. Falan Miller added 12points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.

CAC (11-2, 3-0) played tough defense throughout, which forced Robinson into some early turnovers that had the game out of hand in the first half.

Damonique Miller led the Lady Senators (12-4, 3-1) with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals, but she was the only Robinson player to manage more than 10 points.

The Lady Mustangs took advantage of their rebounding and second-chance points. CAC out rebounded Robinson 32-23 and made 16 of 21 free throws.
