Goblins take shots, down Eagles

HARRISON - Seniors Jordan Grant and Wilson Marseilles combined for 42 points and made 10 of Harrison’s 11 three-pointers as the Goblins defeated Vilonia 80-64 Friday night in the 5A-West Conference opener for both schools.

Marseilles did most of his damage in the first half, dropping in five three-pointers and finishing with six on his way to scoring 22 points for the Goblins (10-3, 1-0). Grant hit all four of his three-pointers in the third quarter as Harrison blew open the game. He finished with 20 points.

Harrison took a 20-point advantage early in the third quarter and led 58-37 after consecutive three-pointers by Grant, although Vilonia cut the Goblins’ lead to 60-47 going into the fourth quarter. The Eagles didn’t get any closer though, as Harrison built a 21-pointlead again before both teams emptied their benches in the final 1:32.

Carson Jenkins finished with 16 points and Silas Huskey had 12 for Harrison.

Cameron Wilkins led Vilonia with 19 points, scoring 15 in the second half. Brown finished with 18.
