Springdale Hires Volleyball Coaches

— Springdale Public Schools filled its volleyball coaching positions with two familiar faces Monday.

Former Shiloh Christian coach Shyrah Schisler was hired as the new Springdale Har-Ber coach, while Springdale George Junior High coach Kylie Moad was hired as the new Springdale High coach, the district announced.

Schisler replaces Sandy Jones at Har-Ber after leading Shiloh to an 81-21-1 record in three seasons. The Lady Saints won three straight conference championships during her tenure and advanced to the 5A state semifinals in October.

“I love my kids at Shiloh more than anything, and leaving was really hard,” Schisler said. “But ultimately, I had to make my decision that was best for my family, my husband and I and for my career. So it just worked out for me to go to Har-Ber. The administration with (superintendent) Dr. (Jim) Rollins and everyone has been so supportive. … I couldn’t be more thankful for them bringing me along.”

Moad replaces Amanda Williford at Springdale after serving as the George coach for eight seasons. She coached many of Springdale’s current top players, including sophomores Desiree Mack, Ryann Goodsell and Maddie Mueller, during junior high.

“It’s a very natural fit for me,” Moad said. “I’ve been in the Springdale pipeline for eight years now, so that just makes sense for me to continue to coach my girls that I’ve had. … I’m very excited. I’m thrilled. I’m very excited Dr. Rollins gave me this opportunity to be a head coach at the high school level.”
