Fayetteville

Steven Gregg, 39, of 1555 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. was arrested Sunday in connection with third-degree domestic battery and aggravated assault on a family or household member. Police say Gregg broke his girlfriend’s nose, fractured her jaw, sprained her shoulder and choked her until she lost consciousness. Gregg was being held Monday in the Washington County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.

Rogers

Joseph Thomas Biver, 33, of 2700 Shetland Court in Dubuque, Iowa, was arrested Sunday in connection with aggravated assault. Biver was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail on a $2,500 bond set.

Charles Edward Savage, 39, of 15482 Osage Creek Road in Springdale was arrested Sunday in connection with domestic battering in the second degree, residential burglary and terroristic threatening in the first degree. Savage was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail with a $10,000 bond set.

Springdale

Christopher Narx, 25, of 1431 Monte Ne Road in Rogers was arrested Monday in connection with felony possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Narx was being held Monday in the Washington County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.

Michael Alexander Hallman, 22, of 1738-A Joshua Place was arrested Saturday in connection with a felony Sequoyah County, Okla., warrant for probation violation. Hallman was being held Monday in the Washington County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.

Billy McGriff, 31, of 3232 Michael St. was arrested Friday in connection with a felony parole violation, misdemeanor obstructing governmental operations and a Lowell warrant for failure to appear. Police said McGriff identified himself as a man who had died to avoid arrest on the warrants. McGriff was being held Monday in the Washington County Detention Center on the parole violation.

John Borgerding reported at 9:51 a.m. Sunday a theft at 1008 Benton St.

Fayetteville

Police responded to a report of a stabbing victim at the Kum & Go at 729 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Sgt. Craig Stout said a man was found at the scene with blunt force injuries on his head and shallow cuts on his neck and both hands. No one was arrested, but Stout said investigators were looking into whether the incident was related to a reported burglary at 2192 Stone St. Windows were broken there but nothing was reported stolen.

A caller reported a light-colored van ran into a fire hydrant Monday morning at 1881 S. Tallgrass Drive.

Verelio Ochoa reported Monday a burglary at Hair Pro, 515 E. Robinson Ave.

Brenda Recino reported Monday a burglary at Iiakwe Tobacco and Coffee, 2257 Old Wire Road, Suite 2.

Edith Marquez reported Monday the break-in of a vehicle at 313 Berry St.

Monica Casanova reported Monday a burglary at The Nutrition Spot, 2323 S. Old Missouri Suite B1.

Police found evidence Sunday of a forced entry at Game Exchange, 104 E. Robinson St. and Locke Supply, 100 S. Thompson St.

Sanjuana Alcala reported Sunday a burglary at 1847 Pearl Circle.

FIRES

Rogers

Firefighters responded to the smell of a possible electric fire at 1525 Forest Drive in Little Flock after a dog urinated on an extension cord near a back door at 2 a.m. Saturday. The cord was unplugged and the breaker reset.

A resident put out a small grass fire near his chimney at 5 a.m. Saturday at 3601 W. Wood St. The resident thought the fire started from embers coming from his chimney.

Firefighters put out a fire where residents were illegally burning household furniture at 4 p.m. Saturday at 206 S. Seventh St. An hour later, firefighters returned to the residence and put out the fire again after the homeowner decided to burn against city and state regulations.

Residents extinguished a flue fire at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at 1210 N. Quail Terrace. Firefighters told the residents to have the chimney inspected and swept out.

Firefighters put out a car fire at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at 1710 S. 20th St. The fire warped siding on the garage door of the home, but the home did not catch fire.
