$1 Million Lottery Ticket Sold At Goshen Store

FAYETTEVILLE — Some lucky lottery player is $1 million richer.

The winning ticket in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery’s Million Dollar Raffle was purchased sometime during the past four months at the Fast Trax convenience store on Bowen Boulevard in Goshen, according to a news release sent Thursday.

Lottery officials drew the winning number — 187368 — Thursday, along with 115 other $100,000, $10,000 and $500 prizes. As of Thursday afternoon, no one had claimed the $1 million jackpot.

“That was the big one,” said Patricia Vick, lottery spokeswoman.

Patty Walker, a cashier at the Goshen Fast Trax, said she couldn’t wait to hear who won.

“I’d love to see the expression on their face,” Walker said. “I’m just hoping it’s someone who really needed the money.”

Store owners will receive a $10,000 commission.

Tickets for the Million Dollar Raffle went on sale Sept. 1. Customers could buy one raffle ticket for $10; three tickets for $20; or six tickets for $30.

The odds of winning were one in 250,840, Vick said.

All prizes must be claimed within 180 days. The $500 prizes can be claimed at any lottery retailer. The $1 million, $100,000 and $10,000 prizes must be claimed at one of four claim centers in the state, including 3896 Elm Springs Road in Springdale.

All winning numbers are listed online at myarkansaslottery.com.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery was created to provide scholarships and grants for Arkansas residents attending two- and four-year colleges and universities in the state.
