Sophomore running back Michael Gordon mostly watched from the sidelines during the first half of Arkansas State’s season. Gordon has never really liked watching, though he maintained all season he understood the circumstances.

TUESDAY’S COLLEGE FOOTBALL BOWLS

Arizona running back Ka’Deem Carey (25) is flung down by Boston College linebacker Steve Daniels in the second half of the Wildcats’ 42-19 victory in the AdvoCare Bowl on Tuesday in Shreveport. Carey rushed for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns, out dueling Boston College’s Andre Williams, a Heisman Trophy finalist. Williams finished with 75 yards rushing.
