Big show at Big House: Snow, wind, 110,000 fans

The Detroit Red Wings gather at center ice during Tuesday’s practice on the outdoor rink at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich., where they’ll face the Toronto Maple Leafs in today’s NHL Winter Classic.

As the novelty of playing hockey outdoors seems to be wearing off, the NHL is hoping bigger is better at the Winter Classic.
