Police are at Har-Ber High School in Springdale, and the campus was placed on high alert Thursday afternoon following a report of an armed person on campus.

Lt. Derek Hudson said the report came just before 2 p.m. Several students were detained for questioning, but no arrests had been made and no weapon was found, Hudson said.

Hudson said a 15-year-old girl was taken to the police department for further questioning by investigators.

Jared Cleveland, Springdale School District's deputy superintendent for personnel, said that the results of that investigation would determine whether the girl returns to school Friday. The alert was lifted at about 3:15 p.m., and a news release said buses will run as normal.
