Helicopter in Fayetteville's Walker Park Part of Training Exercise

— A helicopter that touched down Sunday and Monday in Walker Park was part of a training exercise for Central Emergency Medical Service, southern Washington County's ambulance provider.

The Life Line helicopter is the newest aircraft in Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas' fleet. It's used to transport trauma patients to Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.

Becky Stewart, Central EMS chief, said the exercise was "an opportunity for EMTs and paramedics to become familiar with the helicopter in a nonemergency situation."

No further training is expected.
