Fayetteville Police haven’t apprehended a suspect after a man was shot in the shoulder in his home Monday afternoon.
Sgt. Craig Stout said a 33-year-old man at 4378 Chaparral Lane, near Wedington Drive and Interstate 540, suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulde after another man broke into the residence. The wounded man was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center.
“There was a struggle inside the residence, and that’s when the victim was shot,” Stout said. “He wasn’t able to give us much (information) because we wanted to get his wound treated.”
Investigators were working on a warrant for the victim’s house and would question the man as soon as possible, Stout said.
