Sunflower Club

The Kansas Sunflower Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the community room at Village Insurance in Bella Vista for a pizza luncheon and bingo. Pizza will be ordered after arrival; bring a small salad or dessert.

John Burkhalter, a candidate for lieutenant governor, will speak at the Benton County Democrats' meeting Monday at the Metroplex Event Center, 2305 S. Eighth St. in Rogers. The meeting will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Genealogists

The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Bentonville Public Library. A webinar, "Back to Basics: Craft a Compelling Family History Narrative from Start to Finish" by Lisa Alzo, will be presented.

Lions Club

Bella Vista Lions Club will welcome Linda and Lisa Hook of Gentry's Wild Wilderness Safari at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Concordia Retirement Center's main building, 1 Concordia Drive.

The club meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The optional dinner buffet is offered for $9.

Democratic Women

The Washington County Democratic Women will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mermaids Restaurant in Fayetteville.

Dr. Geetha Ramaswamy, a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine and cardiologist with the Walker Heart Institute, will be the guest speaker.

The Republican Party of Benton County will meet for networking at 6:30 p.m., followed by the formal meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Benton County Services Center in Bentonville.

Participants will learn about the state of the Benton County Republican Party and 2014 goals and plans.

Nebraska Club

The Nebraska Club of Bella Vista is planning a St. Patrick's Day dinner on March 8. The club will meet at Papa Mike's at 4 p.m. Dnner will be at 5 p.m. Corned beef dinners are $12 per person and runza dinners $10.

Ladies Day Out

Ladies Day Out will meet at 9:45 a.m. March 18 across from Town Center and go to Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale. Susan Young will speak on "Country Churches," and there will be time to tour the museum.

Garden Club

Bella Vista Garden Club's monthly meeting will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road in Bella Vista. A meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by a light lunch.

Mark Hutchings, urban wildlife biologist for Benton County Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, will speak on "Benefits of Bats in Arkansas and Your Garden."

The artistic design exhibit will be from club member Judy Hentsch. Club member Janice Kennedy will present the horticulture lesson on "How to Make a Living Wreath."

Republican Women

The Washington County Republican Women will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Washington County Republican Headquarters, Skyler Center, 2576 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale.

Speakers this month are Judge Stacey Zimmerman, incumbent candidate for circuit judge in the juvenile division, and Lisa Parks, candidate for circuit judge in the juvenile division.

Civil War

The February meeting of the Northwest Arkansas Civil War Roundtable will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the General Store at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale.

Trotter, a Fayetteville resident and Ozark Society member, will speak on "Hiking in Argentina and the Torres del Paine."
