Bomb threat discovered at Bentonville High School

A bomb threat was found written on a bathroom wall in Bentonville High School’s south building on Thursday, district spokeswoman Mary Ley said.

The threat, found at about 3:30 p.m., indicated a bomb would go off Friday at the school. Staff members checked their classrooms and other areas Thursday afternoon, and police planned to search the campus Thursday night with dogs, Ley said.

Teachers and staff members will search their rooms again before school starts Friday morning, Ley said.

Anyone with information related to this threat should contact the Bentonville Police Department at 479-271-3170.
