New fuel-efficiency bar for trucks on way

President Barack Obama arrives to speak at a distribution center for Safeway stores in Upper Marlboro, Md., on Tuesday. The president said having a more fuel-efficient truck fleet will boost the economy and help combat climate change.

President Barack Obama directed his administration Tuesday to issue the next round of fuel-efficiency and greenhouse-gas standards for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles by March 2016.
