SPRINGDALE — About 2,250 people in Springdale who get electricity from Southwestern Electric Power Co. went without power for 90 minutes on Monday.

Power went out at 12:06 p.m. and came back on at 1:36 p.m., said Peter Main, company spokesman. He didn’t know the specific location of the outage.

All affected customers were receiving electricity from the same circuit, Main said. Power was restored when electricity was rerouted through a different circuit.

Main said officials don’t know why the power went out and are investigating the cause.
