Fayetteville student faces discipline for ammo magazine

FAYETTEVILLE — A 17-year-old student at Fayetteville High School faces disciplinary action after he was found with an ammunition magazine at school Tuesday, according to an email from Principal Steve Jacoby. No arrests were made and no one was injured, according to police.

A student notified a teacher that another student could have the ammunition magazine. School officials and resource officers confiscated the item, according to the email sent to parents. The school also used the telephone system and text messaging to notify parents of the situation.
