— Randy Shannon will make $400,000 per year as part of a new contract at Arkansas.

Shannon was promoted to senior associate head coach earlier this month by Razorbacks head coach Bret Bielema. Shannon was the team's linebackers coach last season and will continue in that role alongside his new title.

The former Miami head coach signed his new contract last Friday. He will owe the university $100,000 if he leaves prior to the end of the 2014 calendar year and $50,000 if he leaves between Jan. 1, 2015 and June 30, 2015.

Shannon made $315,000 as the team's linebackers coach last season. He is currently the fourth-highest paid assistant coach on the Razorbacks' staff.
