GAC MEN HARDING 81, OUACHITA BAPTIST 64

Hayden Johnson scored 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting to lead Harding (12-9, 9-6) to a victory over Ouachita Baptist (7-15, 4-12) on Saturday night at Rhodes Field House in Searcy.

Jacob Gibson scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds. John Hudson added 13 points.

The Bisons led 33-31 at halftime and outscored the Tigers 48-33 in the second half.

Allen Buchanan led OBU with 12 points.

Eric Braeuer and Colt Fason each had 10 points.

ARKANSAS TECH 58, HENDERSON STATE 56

Arkansas Tech (15-7, 10-4) came back in the second half to beat Henderson State (10-12, 6-8) at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

The Wonder Boys trailed 29-21 at halftime, but outscored the Reddies 37-27 in the second half. They shot 52 percent (13 of 25) in the final 20 minutes and finished 41.3 percent overall (19 of 46).

Clarence Willard led Arkansas Techwith 16 points and eight rebounds. Marshawn Arnold had 13 points.

Kevin Kozan scored 13 points to lead the Reddies.

SOUTHERN NAZARENE 66, ARK.-MONTICELLO 59

CJ Smith led Southern Nazarene (12-10, 10-6) with 21 points in a victory over Arkansas-Monticello (15-9, 8-8) at Steelman Field House in Monticello.

Dartanyon Meggs had 15 points while Francisco Hukill added 10 for Southern Nazarene.

UAM was led by Brandon Wilson’s 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jared Harrison scored 14 points.

GAC WOMEN HARDING 72, OUACHITA BAPTIST 65

Harding (23-1) improved to 15-1 in the Great American Conference, beating Ouachita Baptist (6-16, 4-12) at Rhodes Field House in Searcy.

A’ndrea Haney scored 17 points to lead the Lady Bisons. Arielle Saunders had 12 points and Kristen Celsor added 10 points and nine rebounds. Harding shot 37.9 percent (22 of 58) and made 25 of 34 (73.5 percent) at the free-throw line.

Erica Sharp led the Lady Tigers with15 points and 10 rebounds. Nashia James and Katie Kapler each had 10 points.

ARKANSAS TECH 91, HENDERSON STATE 85

Anissa Pounds scored 24 points to lead Arkansas Tech (12-8, 8-6) past Henderson State (12-9, 7-8) at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

Caroline Eubanks had 21 points and Danielle Frachiseur added 18 for the Golden Suns.

Arkansas Tech shot 57.4 percent (31 of 54), outrebounded Henderson State 40-35 and outscored the Lady Reddies 42-25 in the paint.

Krystal Beachum led Henderson State with 24 points.

ARK.-MONTICELLO 71, SOUTHERN NAZARENE 66

Jordan Goforth scored 23 points and Arkansas-Monticello (6-16, 2-14) snapped a 12-game losing streak with a victory over Southern Nazarene (10-12, 7-9) at Steelman Field House in Monticello.

It was UAM’s first Great American Conference victory since Nov. 23 when it beat Northwestern Oklahoma State 82-80 in overtime on Nov. 23 at home.

Tamia Grady had 14 points and Raija McWright added 11 for the Cotton Blossoms, who shot 48 percent in the first half en route to a 38-31 halftime lead. They shot 40.8 percent (20 of 49) overall.

Aminata Fall led Southern Nazarene with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

HEARTLAND MEN ARK.-FORT SMITH 74, OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN 68

Seth Youngblood’s 17 points helped Arkansas-Fort Smith (18-5, 11-4 Heartland Conference) pull away from Oklahoma Christian (7-16, 3-12) at the Eagle’s Nest in Oklahoma City.

Xavier McClish and Jake Toupal each added 14 points for the Lions.

John Moon scored a game-high 21 points for Oklahoma Christian.

HEARTLAND WOMEN OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN 74, ARK.-FORT SMITH 53

Roz Hamilton and McKenzie Stanford each scored 14 points as Oklahoma Christian (14-10, 10-7 Heartland Conference) handled Arkansas-Fort Smith (7-16, 7-10) at the Eagle’s Nest in Oklahoma City.

Candice Followwell led UAFS with 13 points. Justyne Huber added 10 points.
