Arrests 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force

Christy Toney, 34, of 1601 Oriole St. in Springdale was arrested Thursday in connection with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and thirddegree endangering the welfare of a minor. She was in the Washington County Detention Center without bond Thursday.

Fayetteville

Sydney Caroom, 18, of 4 Longwood Road in Little Rock was arrested Thursday in connection with felony driving while intoxicated, second-degree battery and reckless driving. She was in the Washington County Detention Center without bond Thursday.

Steven Petty, 41, of 775 W. Sycamore St. was arrested Thursday in connection with possession of a controlled substance and run red light.

He was in the Washington County Detention Center without bond Thursday.

Rogers

Kyle Tripp, 18, of 2434 W. Magnolia St. was arrested Wednesday in connection with felony false imprisonment and terroristic threatening. According to a police affidavit, Anthony Gilliam, 19, told police Tripp put a pillowcase over his head and threatened him with a knife on Jan. 3 after a breakup between Gilliam and Tripp’s girlfriend’s sister. Tripp told police he did not intend to harm Gilliam, according to a police affidavit.

Springdale

Jeffery Reeves, 35, of 512 Madison County 3177 in Witter was arrested Wednesday in connection with felony third-degree domestic battery. Reeves was released Thursday from the Washington County Detention Center on$5,000 bond.

Juan Garcia, 20, 1011 W. Washington Ave. in Fayetteville was arrested Thursday in connection with felony theft of property and misdemeanor fraudulent use of a credit card. Garcia was scheduled to be moved to the Washington County Detention Center on Thursday to await a bond hearing.

Fire Rogers

A fire in a light fixture set off smoke alarms at First Western Bank, 401 W. Walnut St., on Wednesday. Firefighters checked the fixture, found a broken ballast but no fire.

They used fans to move smoke and vapor from the fire extinguisher out of the building.

Bystanders reported a school bus fire at Kum & Go, 1701 W. New Hope Road, on Wednesday. The driver told firefighters a turbo shaft had blown and the bus was leaking smoke. He was waiting for bus services to send a technician.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the incident. Police Springdale

Police received reports of two break-ins of vehicles in the parking lot of Northwest Medical Center-Springdale, 600 W. Maple Ave.

Devon Griffith reported Wednesday a burglary at 3119 Commons Ave.

Robert Pickney reported a break-in Wednesday in the parking lot of Kum & Go, 500 N. Old Missouri Road.

Police received two calls Wednesday of break-ins at the parking lot of Northwest Athletic Center, 4409 S.

Thompson St.

Tracy McCool reported Thursday the theft of a gray Chevrolet pickup from 4260 Backus Ave.
