Republican Women Of Bentonville Hosting Candidates

— The public is invited to meet four people running for state representative at Thursday’s meeting of the Republican Women of Bentonville.

The speakers will include state Rep. Jim Dotson, R-Bentonville, and city alderman Bill Burckart. Dotson is seeking his second term in the state House representing District 93. Burckart will challenge him in the primary election.

Also scheduled to speak are state Rep. Sue Scott, R-Rogers, and her opponent Dane Zimmerman in the District 95 primary race. Scott is seeking her second term.

The meeting will begin with social time at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 S. Main St. The business part of the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome and there is no admission charge.

The primary election is May 20.
