Former Gravette Firefighter Faces Rape, Sexual Assault Charges

A former Gravette volunteer firefighter pleaded not guilty to charges that accuse him of sexually abusing two children.

About The Charges

Rape, a Class Y felony, is punishable with a prison sentence ranging from 10 to 40 years or life in prison. However, if convicted, Baughman faces from 25 to 40 years or life in prison due to an Arkansas law that requires a minimum sentence of 25 years for an individual convicted of raping someone 13 and younger. The sexual assault charge, a Class B felony, is punishable with a prison sentence ranging from five to 20 years.
