GAC MEN

HARDING 89, SW OKLAHOMA ST. 71

Hayden Johnson scored a career-high 36 points on 11-of-15 shooting and made 10 of 12 at the free-throw line as Harding (11-9, 8-6) beat Southwestern Oklahoma State (12-8, 9-5) at Rhodes Field House in Searcy.

The Bisons trailed 39-38 at halftime, but outscored Southwestern Oklahoma 51-32 in the second half to pull away.

Three Harding players scored 14 points: Will Francis, Weston Jameson and Blake McNair. Harding shot 58.6 percent (17 of 29) in the second half and made 10 of its 15 three-pointers in the final 20 minutes.

Kenyan Borders led Southwestern Oklahoma with 19 points. Rod Camphor added 18.

ARKANSAS TECH 80, NW OKLAHOMA ST. 68

Tyler Friedel scored 21 points to lead Arkansas Tech (12-7, 8-4) to a victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State (8-11, 5-8) at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

Bobby Hatchett had 20 points and Darrick Little added 18 for the Wonder Boys, who shot 45.8 percent (22 of 48) and made 24 of 29 (82.8 percent) at the free-throw line.

Brandon Wooley led Northwestern Oklahoma with 14 points and eight rebounds.

EAST CENTRAL (OKLA.) 78, ARK.-MONTICELLO 60

East Central (14-7, 11-4) shot 80 percent (16 of 20) in the second half to hand Arkansas-Monticello (15-8, 8-7) its worst loss of the season at the Kerr Activities Center in Ada, Okla.

Brandon Lucas had a game-high 17 points for East Central.

Brandon Wilson led the Boll Weevils with 16 points. Kenric McCants and Sharif Hudson each added 10 points.

SOUTHERN NAZARENE 72, OUACHITA BAPTIST 68

Ouachita Baptist (7-13, 4-10) couldn’t overcome a 13-point halftime deficit in a loss to Southern Nazarene (10-10, 8-6) at the Sawyer Center in Bethany, Okla.

The Tigers trailed 35-22 after 20 minutes, but couldn’t pull closer than four points in the second half.

Colt Fason had a game-high 25 points and 10 rebounds for Ouachita Baptist. Micah Delph had 15 points.

Garrett Butler and Quan Conner each had 16 points to lead Southern Nazarene.

SOUTHERN ARKANSAS 82, SE OKLAHOMA ST. 79

Jeffrey Walker scored 30 points on 13 of 16 shooting and Southern Arkansas (10-11, 6-9) beat Southeastern Oklahoma State (6-13, 4-10) at the Sullivan Arena in Durant, Okla.

Chauncy Williams had 23 points and Duke Reed added 13 for the Muleriders, who shot 47.5 percent (28 of 59).

Urald King and Daichi Taniguchi each had 17 points to lead Southeastern Oklahoma.

HEARTLAND MEN

ARK.-FORT SMITH 82, ST. MARY’S (TEXAS) 71

Seth Youngblood was one of four players to score at least 10 points, finishing with 19 points to lead Arkansas-Fort Smith (17-4, 10-3 Heartland Conference) to a victory over St. Mary’s (15-6, 8-5) at the Stubblefield Center in Fort Smith.

Jake Toupal scored 17 points, Xavier McClish had 12 points and Alex Cooper added 10.

Marvin Binney led St. Mary’s with 18 points.

AMC MEN

COLUMBIA (MO.) 62, LYON 53

Devin Griffin had 20 points and Columbia College (22-2) improved to 13-1 in the American Midwest Conference with a victory over Lyon College (10-13, 9-4) at Becknell Gymnasium in Batesville.

Devonte Young led Lyon with 17 points.

GAC WOMEN

HARDING 89, SW OKLAHOMA ST. 74

Kristen Celsor had 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead Harding (21-1, 13-1 Great American Conference) to a victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State (12-8, 9-5) on Saturday afternoon at Rhodes Field House in Searcy.

Celsor finished 9 of 18 from the field and made 6 of 8 at the free throw line.

Arielle Saunders scored 14 points and grabbed a team-high 15 rebounds. Shana Holmes and Kaylee Wiedower each had nine points.

The Lady Bisons, who led 48-37 at halfime, shot 40.5 pecent (32 of 79) overall and out rebounded Southwestern Oklahoma 56-36.

Michelle Fisher scored a game-high 29 points while Taryn Foster had 26 for Southwestern Oklahoma.

SOUTHERN ARKANSAS 57, SE OKLAHOMA ST. 53

Chanel Miller scored 18 points as Southern Arkansas (11-10, 7-8) held off Southeastern Oklahoma (12-8, 9-5) at Sullivan Arena in Durant, Okla.

Miller also had eight rebounds. Miranda Grier added 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Shelby Hill led Southeastern Oklahoma with 12 points. Emily Williams had 11 points.

ARKANSAS TECH 70, NW OKLAHOMA ST. 46

Caroline Eubanks finished with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting in Arkansas Tech’s rout of Northwestern Oklahoma State at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

The Golden Suns (10-8, 6-6) shot 52 percent (26 of 50) and out rebounded Northwestern Oklahoma 44-26.

Jacinda Myers-Sanders and Anissa Pounds each had 13 points. Myers-Sanders also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Kierra Gilmore led Northwestern Oklahoma (5-14, 5-8) with 15 points.

OUACHITA BAPTIST 71, SOUTHERN NAZARENE 61

Ouachita Baptist (5-14, 3-10) overcame a five-point halftime deficit, outscoring Southern Nazarene (9-10, 6-7) 47-32 in a victory at the Sawyer Center in Bethany, Okla.

Nashia James led the Lady Tigers with 17 points. Breanna Harris and Erica Sharp each had 12 points.

OBU shot 4 of 29 (13.8 percent) in the first half and trailed 29-24 at halftime. But the Lady Tigers rebounded in the second half, shooting 48.6 percent (17 of 35) and finished 21 of 64 (32.8 percent) overall.

Kristin Milster scored a game-high 20 points for Southern Nazarene.

EAST CENTRAL (OKLA.) 70, ARK.-MONTICELLO 51

Arkansas-Monticello (5-16) fell to 1-14 in the Great American Conference with a loss to East Central (15-6, 10-5) at Kerr Activities Center in Ada, Okla.

Taylor Fischer led East Central with 17 points. Erin Walling had 13 points and Dilan Webster added 12.

Nikki Mullen scored a game-high 19 points for the Cotton Blossoms.

HEARTLAND WOMEN

ARK.-FORT SMITH 69, ST. MARY’S (TEXAS) 66

Justyne Huber had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead Arkansas-Fort Smith (7-15, 7-9 Heartland Conference) past St. Mary’s (14-7, 9-6) at the Stubblefield Center in Fort Smith.

Jackie Woods and Dezirae Ellis each scored 18 points to lead St. Mary’s.

AMC WOMEN

COLUMBIA (MO.) 82, LYON 73

Heather English scored 16 points as Columbia (Mo.) College (18-5, 14-1 American Midwest Conference) beat Lyon College (15-7, 11-3) at Becknell Gymnasium in Batesville.

Lyon led 39-31 at halftime, but was outscored 51-34 in the second half.

Carina Jackson led Lyon with 20 points.
