Man Dies In Fayetteville Motorcycle Crash

FAYETTEVILLE — A man on a motorcycle died Saturday after colliding with two cars on Joyce Boulevard.

Police Sgt. Craig Stout said the biker was eastbound on Joyce about 2 p.m. at a “high rate of speed.”

A red Toyota Corolla was stopped in the inside lane with its turn signal on, preparing to turn left to Parkview Drive, he said.

Stout said the biker tried to miss the Corolla, but collided with the back right corner or the car and landed in the inside lane. He was then hit by a silver Nissan Xterra in the outside lane.

Stout said he couldn’t release the name of the man pending family notification.

No one had been cited in connection with the crash as of Saturday evening. The investigation is ongoing.
