Fayetteville trash and recycling collection suspended

FAYETTEVILLE — The city’s Solid Waste and Recycling Division announced Monday that all trash collection will be suspended until street conditions improve.

“The safety risk is too great for operations to continue at this time,” a news release stated Monday.

The city’s transfer station, 1560 S. Happy Hollow Road, was closed Monday. The Marion Orton Recycling Center was scheduled to open at noon Monday.
