Actress Sienna Miller said she had a “brief encounter” with James Bond star Daniel Craig but insists a British tabloid misconstrued the nature of the relationship on the basis of a hacked voice-mail message. Miller said at Britain’s phone-hacking trial Friday that she probably did leave a message for Craig that ended with her saying, “I love you.” But she said it was not “some incredibly important declaration of love” because she always signed off to family and friends that way. Miller testified by video link from New Orleans at the trial of several former News of the World staff members. In recent days the trial has focused on evidence from a former reporter who said he hacked Craig’s phone and used the “I love you” message as the basis of stories about a Craig-Miller affair.

Romania’s cinema board has lifted its ban on Danish director Lars von Trier’s movie Nymphomaniac II. The National Center of Cinematography viewed the movie for a second time Thursday and decided to lift the ban it had imposed the day before. The film will be labeled IM 18 in Romania and shown to adults only. The distributor, Independence Film, said the movie will be released in Romania next Friday as scheduled. “We consider this decision … a return to normality. There is no censorship,” it said in a statement. The film Nymphomaniac I already is being shown in Romanian cinemas. The two movies are a drama about a woman’s erotic journey from birth to the age of 50.
