— Arkansas linebackers coach Randy Shannon is expected to be hired in the same role at Florida, according to multiple reports.

An Arkansas team spokesperson couldn't confirm the reports Wednesday. Shannon has spent the last two seasons with the Razorbacks after he was hired away from TCU following the 2012 season.

Arkansas coach Bret Bielema promoted Shannon to associate head coach earlier this year. With the promotion came a pay raise to $400,000 annually.

According to a contract signed in February, Shannon would owe Arkansas $100,000 if he accepted a non-defensive coordinator position at another school before the end of the day Wednesday.

That buyout drops to $50,000 Thursday.

Shannon is from Florida and spent 20 seasons coaching college and professional teams in Miami. He was head coach at his alma mater Miami from 2007-10.

FootballScoop.com reported that Arkansas will target Andy Buh to replace Shannon. Buh was linebackers coach in Bielema's last season at Wisconsin.
