Robin Lundstrum, president of Cypress Investments in Springdale is this year's recipient of the FBI Director's Community Leadership Award for the Little Rock Field Office.
Lundstrum is a graduate of the fall 2013 Little Rock Field Office FBI Citizens Academy. She demonstrated her commitment and leadership by playing an instrumental role in coordinating and supporting various outreach events, according to a news release.
One example of Lundstrum's involvement is with the first joint Education and Law Enforcement luncheon for school superintendents and teachers. The focus of the event was to inform educators on who to contact when faced with potential bomb threats as well as the mission, goals, history and internal workings of the FBI. She coordinated all aspects of the luncheon.
Six teens from Northwest Arkansas to participate in the FBI Teen Academy in the Little Rock Field Office thanks to Lundstrum who organized, and paid part of the expense, to send them.
For more than two decades, the FBI has recognized and honored achievements of individuals in their efforts to assist in combating crime, terrorism, drugs and violence with the "FBI Director's Community Leadership Award".
Each year, one organization or individual in each of the FBI's 56 field offices is selected as having had an exemplary impact on the community.
