Barbara Sue Turner shares this soup recipe for an unidentified reader.

Cheese Soup

1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup

1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup

1 1/4 cups milk or water

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon chopped onion

1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Chopped parsley, for garnish

In a large saucepan over low heat, combine the canned soups, milk and cheddar cheese. Cook, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted. Stir in the onion and Worcestershire.

Serve garnished with parsley.

Makes about 4 cups.

Merry Sue Hill shares this recipe for chocolate rolls. Although these yeast rolls are not the same as what was requested -- Jeskbs is looking for chocolate rolls like those available at Misty's in Leslie, which are more like baked fried pies -- they sound delicious.

"This is an old family recipe," Hill writes. "They are easy to make and very good."

Hill includes a recipe for orange frosting, but notes the rolls are good with chocolate icing too.

Chocolate Rolls

2 packages yeast

1 1/2 cups warm water

1/2 cup shortening, plus more for greasing

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

4 1/2 cups flour, divided use

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add shortening, salt, sugar, eggs, cocoa and 1 cup of the flour and mix well. Add remaining flour. Knead into a soft dough. Place in a greased bowl; cover with a towel and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and make into rolls. Place rolls in greased pans and let rise until double. Bake in a 375-degree oven until done, about 20 to 25 minutes.

Orange Frosting

4 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons grated orange peel

8 teaspoons orange juice

2 cups confectioners' sugar

Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour over warm buns and enjoy.

REQUESTS

• Hermit cookies, also called Russian Rocks, that were sold at Harry's Market in Little Rock many years ago for Betsy Berry. The cookies contained raisins and nuts.

The following requests have run before, but we have not received any responses.

• Biscuits like those served at KFC and McDonald's for Marie O'Donohue.

• Lemon pie like that served at Grandoff's on Main Street in Little Rock in the 1950s for ZeeZee Volz. The pie had a sour cream topping.

• White sauce like that served at Damgoode Pies in Little Rock for an unidentified reader. The spicy pizza sauce is a blend of ricotta and parmesan cheeses.

• Cheese dip like Pancho's for an anonymous reader now that the 2-pound blocks of Kraft Deluxe American cheese are no longer available.
