FAYETTEVILLE -- A Prairie Grove man faces three felony charges after he wrecked his vehicle Friday morning causing several people to lose electricity.

Police said Victor Clemente also hid methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in his underwear, according to an arrest report.

Clemente, 32, of 15063 Brown Road in Prairie Grove was arrested Friday in connection with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and furnishing prohibited articles, and misdemeanor failure to appear.

The one-vehicle accident happened on Porter Road about 10 a.m. after Clemente fell asleep while driving, according to the report. Police said his Honda Accord left the roadway, hit a guard rail and struck a Swepco power pole, which caused several home to temporarily lose power.

Clemente was taken to the Washington County Detention Center. He had a warrant for his arrest after failing to appear in Prairie Grove District Court on previous charges, according to the report.

While being searched at the detention center, three deputies found a small bag with drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine hidden in his boxer briefs, according to the report.

He was being held Saturday in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $3,060 bond.
