Christ the King Catholic Church was the setting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, for the marriage of Alexa Re' Homeyer and Gregory Steven Garcia. Monsignor Francis Malone officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas Allen Homeyer of Little Rock and the late Erin Kathleen Homeyer. Her grandparents are Ronald Lester of Little Rock, the late Susan Bendio of Boise, Idaho, and the late Jane and Curtis George Homeyer of Little Rock.

Mary Elizabeth and Steve V. Garcia of Pflugerville, Texas, are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Beatrice and Andres C. Cortez and Gloria and Gilbert G. Garcia, all of San Antonio.

The chancel was decorated with thistle, spray roses, brunia berries and ranunculus. Music was by Cara Chapman.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a ballgown with a sweetheart bodice embellished with lace. She carried a bouquet of garden roses, cotton bolls, blush ranunculus and evergreens tied together with a satin ribbon with three picture charms of the bride's mother and grandparents.

Maid of honor was Lauren Bridges of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Caitlin Reid, Caitlin Watt, MollieKate Maginn and Lauren Crow, all of Little Rock; Stephanie Hummel of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Raquel Garcia of Pflugerville, sister of the groom; and Kristen Homeyer of Carefree, Ariz., cousin of the bride.

They wore navy chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of astilbe, roses, evergreens and white anemones. Flower girl and ring bearer were Evelia Mia Cortez and Diego Andres Cortez, both of San Antonio and cousins of the groom.

Serving as best man was Chase Barerra of Baytown, Texas. Groomsmen were Cory Culhane, Tanner Ruckel and Jacob Garcia, brother of the groom, all of Pflugerville; Miller Homeyer of Little Rock, brother of the bride; Kyler Crenshaw of Brenham, Texas; and Sean Bignall of Brampton, Ontario. Guests were seated by Dominic Aaron Tapia of Arlington, Texas, and Matthew Ryan Flores of Austin, Texas, both cousins of the groom.

A reception at the Little Rock Marriott followed the ceremony. Guest tables were covered in navy and silver pin-tuck linens and centered with arrangements of garden roses, peonies, seeded eucalyptus and winter greenery.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in mass communications from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a YouTube lifestyle blogger.

The groom also has a bachelor's degree in mass communications from UALR and is a graduate student at Texas A&M University. He is a sixth-grade journalism teacher at Corrigan-Camden Junior High and a Corrigan-Camden High School assistant baseball coach in Corrigan, Texas.

The couple will live in Lufkin, Texas.
