The annual Polar Bear Memorial Bass Tournament will be held New Year's Day at Beaver Lake out of Prairie Creek park.
Entry fee is $65 per boat and includes big bass. First prize is $1,200. Fishing is from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anglers who enter by 1 p.m. on Dec. 30 qualify for a drawing for two $150 prizes. Entries can be made at Mobile Marine Repair and Tackle in Springdale, Everett Chevrolet in Springdale, Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers or Southtown Sporting Goods in Fayetteville.
