The Samaritan Community Center will serve its annual Christmas lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Springdale and Rogers Samaritan Cafes. The lunch is free and open to the public.
Nestle Foods is providing the meal for the third year. The menu includes ham, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls and an ice cream bar. Nestle company volunteers, the pharmaceutical merchandising team from Walmart and volunteers from several other Walmart corporate divisions will help serve. More than 400 meals are expected to be served at each location.
The Rogers Samaritan Center Cafe is at 1211 W. Hudson Road and the Springdale Samaritan Center Cafe is in Harps Plaza, 1300 N. Thompson St. For more information on the lunch, call 479-636-4198.
No proof of income is required to eat in a Samaritan Cafe at any time.
