FAYETTEVILLE -- The second man involved in an attempted armed robbery Dec. 6 at C&S Gun and Pawn Shop was released from a Fort Smith hospital and brought back Friday to Washington County to face charges, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Marcus Gould, 25, of 826 W. Cherry St. in Compton, Calif., was booked into the Washington County Detention Center about 8:20 p.m., in connection with felony attempted murder, aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm by a certain person. He was being held Saturday in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $250,000 bond.

Police said he and Leon Roberson,20, of Long Beach, Calif., went to the pawn shop about 8:55 a.m. Dec. 6, looked around and moments later pulled out semi-automatic handguns, and a shoot-out began between the two and employees at the pawn shop. The incident ended after the two men fled when Gould was shot in the left forearm.

After receiving medical treatment at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith for nearly one week, Gould was returned to Fayetteville by deputies. He is being held in a separate medical unit in which has accessibility to a nurse for further treatment to his injuries, according to the Sheriff's Office.
