Tontitown police arrested two men Thursday in connection with multiple thefts, said Kristopher Arthur, police chief.

Ryan Edwards, 23, of 10835 Blue Sky Road in Farmington, and Hunter Edwards, 19, 15512 Quail Road in Fayetteville were arrested Thursday in connection with breaking or entering and misdemeanor offenses and breaking or entering and tampering with physical evidence, respectively.

Both were being held at the Washington County Detention Center on Friday. Ryan Edwards had a $1,140 bond. No bond was set for Hunter Edwards. The pair are believed to be responsible for 12 counts of breaking and entering and one count of tampering with evidence, Arthur said.

Both men confessed to the thefts and wrote apology letters to the victims, according to a police news release. Some items had been burned at a home, but police planned Friday to return what items were left.

Recovered items included two guns, hundreds of tools and car accessories.
