Kristin Stuart

Where I live: I live in west Little Rock with my husband, Bleu, sons Will (4 years) and Ben (7 months) and our new rescued dog, Tula. We've lived in our home for six years. We like the neighborhood because it is close to my office and the boys' schools (Little Rock Montessori School and United Cerebral Palsy's Butterfly Learning Center).

Occupation: I'm the community development director for United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas, a nonprofit that serves 500 people every day throughout the state of Arkansas.

My favorite space is: My son Ben's room.

Why? It is usually the quietest room in the house. We are all so busy, and our life is so loud. We have lots of fun but it's nice to have some quiet time with the boys, and this is where we have it. I love to spend time in Ben's room, rocking him to sleep or playing on the floor. We moved Will's old crib and dresser/changing table into the nursery and have a big bookcase for books and toys. I hung baskets above the changing table to hold diapers, wipes, lotions and other necessities. There also is a double bed, which we curl up on and read bedtime stories.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Create a window seat. When I was a little girl, I always wanted one so I could sit and read books in the sunshine. I want Ben to have one.
