The Legendary Shack Shakers

Kindred the Family Soul is husband/wife duo Fatin Dantzler and Aja Graydon, who have chosen to focus on the challenges of marital life. The two singer-songwriters became part of the Philadelphia soul scene in 2002, and their discovery by another soul singer, Jill Scott, led to their recording deal.

The couple, also known as Kindred, released their debut album, Surrender to Love, in February 2003. It included the hits "Far Away" and "Stars." In 2005, they released In This Life Together, which took its name from Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee's 1998 book, With Ossie & Ruby: In This Life Together.

Their third album, The Arrival, came out in October 2008.

Opening act Noel Gourdin, a Boston singer, is best known for his No. 1 hit, "The River," on his 2008 album After My Time.

Admission is $25.

The Legendary Shack Shakers was formed in Paducah, Ky., in 1995 by J.D. Wilkes, who sings and plays banjo and harmonica. From the band's beginnings in rockabilly, it has evolved into more of a "Southern Gothic" approach, utilizing its influences in country blues, swamp rock and old-time music.

The band also features bass, drums and guitar players. Prominent fans of the Shack Shakers include Stephen King, Robert Plant and Jello Biafra of The Dead Kennedys. The News of the World tabloid newspaper called the group "The maddest, baddest, most outrageous band in America ... a rockabilly version of the Sex Pistols."
