Dance promises

'Razzle Dazzle'

Guests are invited to the first ever "Razzle Dazzle" dance, hosted by the Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association, from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Riordan Hall.

The event will feature dancing, a cash bar, a "Razzle Dazzle" drink special, various contests, door prizes and heavy hors d'oeuvres courtesy of Courtyard Marriott.

Rockin' Roads will perform. The cost is $15 per person. Funds will benefit the Dazzling Village Lights display.

Tickets are available at Riordan Hall and the Bella Vista Country Club.

A snow date has been set for Dec. 20.

Shiloh Museum

hosts concert

Students from the Will Bush Violin Studio in Springdale will present a concert of holiday music at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. The students, who range in age from six years old to adults, will perform Christmas hymns and carols, fiddle tunes and classical music of the season on violin, viola, cello and guitar.

The Shiloh Museum is located at 118 W. Johnson Ave. in downtown Springdale.

The Bella Vista Courtesy Van is in need of volunteer drivers and volunteer schedulers, a commitment of one or two days a month.

Museum shows

Santa collection

The latest rotating exhibit at the Bella Vista Historical Museum features a display of Santa Clauses from a collection accumulated over many years by museum docent Pat Pershing. The exhibit, which also includes papier-mache Belsnickle Santas handmade by Joplin, Mo., artist Linda Lindquist Baldwin, will be on display through Dec. 28.

The museum is open from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at the corner of U.S 71 and Kingsland Road in Bella Vista, next door to the American Legion. Admission is free.

Basket sale

wrapping up

The Bella Vista Friends of the Library are now holding their annual gift basket silent auction. Bidding ends at 3 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds from this auction will be used to provide programs and services at the Bella Vista Public Library, 11 Dickens Place.

Village seeks

food for pantries

The Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association is collecting nonperishable food items at Bella Vista Village locations through Jan. 2.

The food will be donated to the Village Bible Evangelical Free Church's Oasis Food Pantry and the Bella Vista Lutheran Church's Shepherd's Food Pantry.

Nonperishable and canned food items will be collected at Riordan Hall, Branchwood Recreation Center, Kingsdale Golf Shop, Highlands Golf Shop, Scotsdale Golf Shop, Bella Vista Water Department, Bella Vista Country Club, Country Club Golf Shop, Membership Services Department and the Metfield Clubhouse.

Strength training

starts in January

AmeriCorps and the Veterans Health Care System are partnering to present Strength in Self, a six-week course designed to teach skills on how to tackle issues related to chronic disease or conditions. Individuals facing chronic conditions, family members, friends and caregivers are invited. Skills taught will include pain and fatigue management, action planning, healthy eating, communicating with health care providers and more.

Strength in Self is a chronic disease self-management program created by Stanford University.

Classes are free and will begin in January, with a weekly Tuesday morning class offered from 9 to 11:30 a.m. beginning Jan. 6 and a weekly Thursday afternoon class from 1 to 3:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 8.
