Aid sought to tally cyclists, walkers

The city needs volunteers to help count the number of bikers and walkers at specific points from Sept. 9 to Sept. 11.

"A major way for our interests and concerns to be addressed by Little Rock officials is to have proper documentation of actual bike/walk numbers in Little Rock," the city's bike and pedestrian coordinator Jeremy Lewno said.

He is requesting volunteers to count for two hours on either Sept. 9, 10 or 11. The time slots are 10 a.m. to noon or 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thirteen areas across the city have been chosen, including downtown, the Central High district, Riverdale and 12th Street.

Anyone interested can email Lewno at [email protected].
