Springdale's All Star Sports Arena Has New Owners

SPRINGDALE -- Sports teams and tournaments will soon be able to use All Star Sports Arena again.

Shelly and Shane Willis of Farmington bought the building on Cambridge Street from Simmons First National Bank in July, according to property records. The price of the property was $2.1 million.

They are refurbishing the interior for new soccer fields, new basketball courts and new volleyball courts, Shelly Willis said. The arena will also have a new cafe-style concession stand, classrooms and a computer lab, Shane Willis said.

Renovation of the basketball courts and concession area should be completed during the first week of November, Shelly Willis said. All renovations should be done between January and March.

The arena will be managed by a nonprofit organization in Springdale called Next Level Achievement once renovation is complete, Shane Willis said.
