Rogers Choir To Sing With Foreigner During AMP Concert

ROGERS -- The Rogers High School FX Show Choir will make an appearance with Foreigner at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion.

The 25-student group will perform during "I Want To Know What Love Is," said Judy Meeks, choral director. The same choir group sang at Carnegie Hall this spring.

Student groups are singing with the tour as part of the band's partnership with the Grammy Foundation, Meeks said. The on-stage experience will be memorable for students, she said.

"I'm very proud of them," Meeks said of the students. "They've sung in many different national competitions and won all of them."

Teens will also sell Foreigner CDs benefiting the Grammy Foundation which promotes music education in schools. CDs purchased from the students will enter the buyer in a raffle for a Les Paul guitar, Meeks said.

Foreigner and special guests The Uncrowned Kings play tonight at the Walmart AMP. Gates open at 6 p.m. Music begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online at www.arkansasmusicpavilion.com.
