BENTONVILLE -- A Rogers man was arrested Friday in connection with raping a girl.

Dalton James Rogers, 21, was being held in the Benton County Jail with a $25,000 bond set Tuesday. He was booked into jail at 2:35 p.m. Friday.

Rogers' arrest came after a Benton County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to a call about a rape. The deputy arrived at the scene and found a man on his knees with his hands behind his back in the driveway, according to a probable cause affidavit.

A woman told the deputy Rogers had sex with her daughter and the girl is pregnant.

Rogers was arrested and taken to the Sheriff's Office.

Rogers was interviewed by a detective. He admitted having sex with the girl since she was 13. Rogers told the detective he knew he would get into trouble for having sex with the girl, according to court documents.

The girl, 14, was interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center of Benton County. She said Rogers talked about how he was going to get into trouble and go to jail for having sex with her.

Prosecutors haven't filed formal charges against Rogers. Arraignment is set for 8 a.m. Sept. 29 in Circuit Judge Robin Green's court.
