Police fit woman with spitting mask

A Little Rock woman arrested Monday is accused of spitting on a police officer's face, according to an arrest report.

Police responded to the intersection of 16th and Sycamore streets in North Little Rock at 5 p.m. to reports of a woman screaming and cursing in public. A crowd gathered to watch as North Little Rock police officers attempted to stop Etta Jordan, 33, police said.

Jordan was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

While being led to the patrol car, Jordan purportedly spat on an officer's face. Police covered Jordan's face with a spit mask after she continued to spit inside the patrol car, according to an arrest report.

Jordan was booked into Pulaski County jail on disorderly conduct and a felony charge of aggravated assault. Her bail was set at $10,200, and she remained on the jail's roster late Monday.

Boyfriend helped robber, police say

A man was arrested Saturday over accusations that he helped his girlfriend rob a Little Rock store, according to police.

Jarvis Flowers, 22, of Little Rock, was arrested at Citi Trends, 8717 Geyer Springs Road, about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Police said Flowers drove the getaway car after his girlfriend pointed a gun at several people inside Citi Trends. Flowers also provided the gun, police said.

When officers caught up with Flowers, they found just under an ounce of marijuana in his vehicle, according to an arrest report. The gun was thrown from Flowers' car when they fled the area, and police did not find it, the report said.

Flowers was arrested and booked into Pulaski County jail on possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a certain person. He was not listed on the jail's roster late Monday.

The name of the female suspect and her charges were not available Monday.

LR man charged in holdup of bank

A Little Rock man was held in Pulaski County jail Monday on five charges of aggravated robbery and two charges of theft of property.

Kenny Arbuckle, 31, was arrested Wednesday over accusations that he robbed a bank with a semi-automatic handgun.

Police stopped and arrested Arbuckle at 7101 Colonel Glenn Road just before 2 p.m. Wednesday. According to an arrest report, Arbuckle went to Bank of Little Rock, 10901 N. Rodney Parham Road, and pulled the locked door off its frame to get inside.

Arbuckle was booked into Pulaski County jail, and his bail was set at $100,000.

Theft from shed ends with arrest

A Little Rock man was arrested Monday over accusations that he stole yard equipment from someone's shed, according to an arrest report.

A woman called police about 1:45 p.m. Monday and said she saw a man taking equipment from the shed in her neighbor's backyard. Kevin Walker, 60, was arrested and booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, theft of property, and breaking and entering -- a Class D felony.

Walker's bail was set at $7,000. He remained on the jail's roster late Monday with a parole hold placed on his custody.

LR man charged after drugs found

A Little Rock man was held in Pulaski County jail Monday on 11 felony charges after police searched his home and arrested him Friday.

According to an arrest report, police executed a search warrant at 5006 Opal Drive about 5:25 a.m. Friday and purportedly found 2 ounces of methamphetamine and approximately 2 pounds of marijuana, as well as morphine, hydrocodone, drug paraphernalia, a stolen firearm and a stolen television. Officers also located stolen tires and rims behind the home, according to the report.

Police said four children lived at the residence, and officers found drug pipes in the children's room.

Miguel Angel Velasco Jr. was arrested on 11 felony charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms; and possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, morphine and hydrocodone with purpose to deliver. He was also charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of theft by receiving and four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Because the residence was less than 1,000 feet from a Little Rock School District bus stop, Velasco was also charged with maintaining a drug premises near a drug-free zone.

Velasco's bail was set at $100,000.
