2 dead in accidents on Arkansas roads

An Oklahoma man died Saturday in a rollover accident in Slaytonville, according to Arkansas State Police.

Justin Stephens, 23, of Pocola, Okla., was driving west on Arkansas 252 near the Oklahoma-Arkansas border about 6:15 p.m. at a "high rate of speed," according to an accident report. While driving down a hill, Stephens veered off onto the shoulder, overcorrected and crossed both lanes of traffic.

His Buick went into the ditch off of the eastbound lane and rolled several times, state police said.

A passenger, 43-year-old Jimmy Williams of Pocola, was ejected from the car and later died.

Shortly after that accident, another fatal crash occurred on Arkansas 27 in Montgomery County.

About 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Charles Bradshaw Jr., 52, of Ida was driving south when he veered off of the road.

Bradshaw overcorrected, and his Chevrolet pickup overturned, state police said.

Bradshaw was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
