Klondike (31931) is our pet of the week. He appears to be a husky/shepherd mix and is almost a year old. He is kind of a big guy but a puppy at heart. He loves to get out for playtime and enjoys the outdoors. He has good leash manners and is a lot of fun to walk with. As you can see from his picture above, he always has a smile. He loves playing with humans and dogs alike. He loves to run with his friend Sammy.

Canine Close-Up

Chica (31789) is a 3-year-old rottweiler. She is friendly with everyone she meets, dogs and humans. She is good on walks and loves car rides. She is deaf but has learned some sign language. Her previous owner is willing to help a new owner learn. Chica has stolen the hearts of several of the volunteers with her sweet nature.

Vivian (31941) is a 2-year-old wirehaired terrier. She loves playing with children and being held. She is great with other dogs and loves to play as much as she loves a nice, comfy lap. A few minutes with her and you can see how she is one of the volunteers' favorites.

Zeke (32032) is a 10-month-old shepherd mix. Zeke has never met a stranger. He is super friendly with everyone he meets, and he loves playing fetch and going for a nice walk. He knows to sit on command and seems very eager to learn more tricks and commands. Spend a few minutes with him, and his playful spirit will rub off on you, too. He is another favorite of the volunteers because he is so much fun to be around.

Featured Felines

Amelia (28320) is a 1-year-old tuxedo. She loves to hang out in the offices and roam around looking for a nice place to take a nap. She loves toys and enjoys sharing some playtime, as well as just sitting on someone's lap. She is kind of picky about getting along with some dogs, and at times she can be a little demanding when it comes to getting enough petting.

Fluffy (32018) is a 3-year-old tabby. He has a nice, long coat that makes him the perfect lap cat. He is well trained at being a couch potato and loves lazing the day away. He does not mind a good brushing as long as there are some treats and lots of petting.

Copper (31725) is a 2-year-old tabby. He is declawed, so he would need to go to an indoor only home. He loves to greet you with a meow and will come over to get some scratches on the cheeks and head. He is always up and ready to be the next to get some attention from the volunteers. He loves to play and interact with people and cats alike.

Oreo (32016) is a 1-year-old tuxedo. His fluffy fur looks so soft and is nice to pet with long, comforting strokes. He can be a little nervous when first meeting new people, but he warms up to you as he gets to know you. He would like to have a nice soft, comfy place to nap the day away.
