Police make arrestin rape at restaurant

A Fayetteville man was arrested on a charge of rape at a Little Rock restaurant Saturday, according to police.

Police said Tyler Crook, 21, raped a woman while she was standing at the bar at Cajun's Wharf, 2400 Cantrell Road, at 10:45 p.m. According to an arrest report, witnesses confronted Crook, who then assaulted a friend of the victim, breaking the friend's glasses.

Crook also fought with officers when they arrived on scene, police said.

Crook was booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of rape, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public intoxication, as well as two counts of third-degree battery. He was also charged with obstructing governmental operations because he purportedly refused to give police any identification.

As of Sunday night, Crook was being held in lieu of bond.

Man held after leap from vehicle, chase

A driver was arrested Friday after jumping out of a moving vehicle, which knocked down a basketball goal before coming to rest in someone's front yard, according to Pulaski County sheriff's deputies.

Cary Carter, 51, of Cabot, purportedly jumped out of the vehicle when police attempted to conduct a traffic stop about 2:20 p.m. on Arkansas 161 in Jacksonville. Carter was caught after a short foot chase, deputies said.

Deputies found that the vehicle was reported stolen, according to an arrest report.

Carter was booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of theft by receiving, fleeing and criminal mischief. He also had active warrants for criminal trespass, theft of property, fleeing and failure to maintain records.

He had a parole hold placed on his custody and remained on the jail's roster Sunday night.

Police: Drugs found in NLR woman's bra

Corrections officers found that a woman arrested on a charge of marijuana possession hid four bags of crack cocaine in her bra, according to police.

About 2 p.m. Saturday, police stopped a vehicle that had made an improper turn after leaving a known crack house, according to an arrest report. A police dog detected drugs in the car, and marijuana was found near a passenger, 53-year-old Sherry Cook of North Little Rock.

Cook was arrested and booked into Pulaski County jail, where corrections officers found the crack cocaine, police said. She was held on charges of possession of Schedule VI and II controlled substances.

Cook's bail was set at $2,500. She was not on the jail's roster Sunday night.

Man arrested, faces felony drug charges

A Little Rock man was arrested on five felony drug charges Friday, according to police.

Officers sought out Stephan Aldridge, 28, at 4 p.m. Friday during an aggravated assault investigation. Police found Aldridge in possession of marijuana, cocaine, Xanax, hydrocodone and electronic scales, according to an arrest report.

Aldridge was arrested and booked into Pulaski County jail on four charges of drug possession with purpose to deliver, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

His bail was set at $40,000, and he was not on the jail's roster Sunday night.
