The Arkansas Travelers rallied from a two-run deficit to take a lead, but their longest skid in over a month continued on Sunday at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi.

Telvin Nash's 10th inning single off reliever Jairo Diaz (2-1) scored Tony Kemp to give the Hooks a 5-4 victory to send the Travs to their third consecutive loss as they completed a 2-4 road trip.

The Travs will return to Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock on Tuesday to begin an eight-game, seven-day homestand trying to snap their longest losing streak since they lost eight in a row July 2-10. Before being swept in a three-game series by the Hooks, the Travs were 10-2 in August.

The Hooks took a 2-0 lead off starter Orangel Arenas in the second when Conrad Gregor hit a two-run home run, one of three the Hooks hit Sunday. Teoscar Hernandez hit a home run in the third to give the Hooks a 3-1 lead, and Delino DeShields' home run in the eighth tied the game at 4-4.

The Travs rallied with the help of the home run, too. Eric Stamets' second home run of the season came in the fifth inning and got the Travs within 3-2. Brian Hernandez' home run in the sixth tied the game at 3-3.

The Travs took their only lead in the eighth, when Stamets, who had three hits, singled, was bunted to third and scored on Alex Yarbrough's double down the left field line to make it 4-3. But DeShields homered off of Daniel Reynolds in the eighth to tie the game to send it to extra innings, where Nash's single off Diaz was the Hooks' second victory of the series in their last at bat.
