LifeSource International will take to the catwalk for its newest fundraiser. Fashion for Compassion will feature a style show, hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, a photo booth and live music by Barrett Baber, area musician who won the Grammy Gig of a Lifetime.

Tessa Capel is part of the nonprofit organization's staff and is spearheading the event. She said the organization was looking for "something new" to help raise money for programs. She said the benefit will help support all the group's services.

LifeSource served more than 55,000 Northwest Arkansas individuals, families and children in 2013. Programs provide adult education, counseling, food assistance, medical referral and services for senior citizen.

The organization helps children through its Kids Life summer camp for kids in second through 12th grades. Summer camp offerings include reading and math instruction, character building, arts and crafts and other activities.

Local boutiques that will provide fashions for the show are Daisy Exchange, Impressions Boutiques and Gifts, Plato's Closet, Skye on the Town, Haute Pink Boutique, Bou-tee-que and Something Urban.
