$3.3 million federal grant announced for Rogers airport

ROGERS — Three members of the Arkansas congressional delegation say an airport in Rogers will receive a $3.3 million federal grant.

U.S. Sens. Mark Pryor and John Boozman and Rep. Steve Womack announced the Federal Aviation Administration grant to Rogers Municipal-Carter Field Airport on Tuesday.

The funding is to be used to continue rehabilitation of the airport apron, which includes more than 230,000 square feet of new pavement.

The three federal lawmakers say the airport must continue to improve its infrastructure to keep pace with the growing population in Northwest Arkansas.
