In LR, Maumelle, 4 file for city elections

Two candidates for the Little Rock Board of Directors and two for Maumelle aldermen positions filed Tuesday to be on the Nov. 4 general election ballot.

In Little Rock, incumbent City Director B.J. Wyrick, 64, filed for re-election to a sixth term in the city's Ward 7. Wyrick was first elected in 1994. Pamela Adcock, 52, leader of the Southwest United For Progress neighborhood group, filed for the Ward 2 position. City Director Ken Richardson is the Ward 2 incumbent.

City directors are paid $18,000 annually and receive a monthly office allowance of $250. Terms are for four years.

In Maumelle, Ward 2 Alderman Rick Anderson, 43, filed for re-election. Marion Scott, 64, filed for the Ward 3 position held by incumbent Burch Johnson.

Maumelle aldermen are paid $250 per meeting. Terms are for four years.

Municipal candidates in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Maumelle and Cammack Village have until noon Aug. 15 to file for the general election. The filing period for municipal candidates in Sherwood and Jacksonville was completed in May.
